As customers to your insurance company BE AWARE OF YOUR RIGHTS!! If you are in an accident it is in your best interests to:

* use a contracted towing company if required
* do not sign anything on sight or without proper consultation or declaration
* use a reputable repair facility
 
 We, at Nethercott's want you to KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AS A MOTORIST. It is your car, therefore it is your choice! When choosing a Collision and Refinish Center, you have the right to choose the facility you wish to have the repairs completed, not the Insurance Company's. Do not waste your time or that of several shops getting estimates. Simply select the repair facility that you feel comfortable with, then notify your agent or insurance company. Your insurance adjuster may have the damage inspected by one of their representatives or "field appraisers". Remember a repair facility cannot begin repairs until authorized by both you and your insurance company.
 
 Most collision and repair facilities guarantee their collision work. Ask for the shop's guarantee and have any information you do not understand clarified. If they cannot clarify then they cannot guarantee. Look for signs that indicate repair technician training and certification. Membership in professional trade associations and the Better Business Bureau indicate that the shop is keeping with the latest repair procedures.
 
Make sure the shop you choose: - maintains a reliable, professional reputation
                                                              - is properly equipped and organized to today's standards
                                                              - has properly trained and certified technicians
Before driving away from completed repairs: - check the appearance of the repaired area
                                                                                     - examine the paint for color match and proper body gaps
                                                                                     - check that the vehicle is clean
                                                                                     - address any concerns immediately
 
 And remember there is no such question as a dumb question, if you do not understand any aspect of how or why your repairs were completed simply ask the facility representative, manager and/or your insurance representative. All repair facilities work with the insurance companies whom in return work for you, the customer. Do not get misled by either party, IT IS 100% YOUR CHOICE for all the above mentioned options, IT IS YOUR RIGHT.
